    I purchased this because the seat I purchased 5 years ago from The [...] had obvious worn areas. We tried to use touch-up paint, but it didn't last. I was told by Eljer (toilet mfg) that these seats were no longer available in wood, only plastic. Although plastic wouldn't wear, I much prefer wood. I was happy to find this seat was wood. Now, I'm hoping it will last without the paint wearing off. But, I guess 5 years of daily use for a [$] seat is still a bargain, even if it does eventually wear.Easy to install, comes with the plastic screws and nuts.

        I bought three of these, the one in the main bathroom broke within two weeks,the seat split right in half. Hopefully it was a reject.
