It was easily installed and has shown no wear, even with heavy use. It's easy to keep clean, too! I purchased this seat in the gray to match my vintage toilet, which it does delightfully. I'm happy every time I look at it.

    I bought 2 of these. I liked the chrome hinges and the weight of the seat. The first one stained and then I noticed that the Bemis website said to wash with gentle liquids, so I bought a second and it too stained. Plus the shiny finish on the hinges flaked off. Bemis stood behind their product (the second time, when I wrote them). I would not buy another because I have no idea how to keep it from staining.
