      I was looking for a faux beadboard toilet seat to replace one that no longer fit following a bathroom remodel that included a new toilet. I purchased 2 prior to ordering the one online from toiletseat.com. The first one, from [...], did not fit properly and the hardware finish ('chrome') peeled quickly. The second one, from [...], came with plastic nuts that did not fit the bolt post on one side - very inexpensive, but useless.The one for toiletseat.com is by far better quality and offered a wide selection of hardware finishes. I chose brushed nickel to go with the rest of my bathroom fixtures. The nuts are metal. It fits perfectly and looks great. As an added bonus - it is made in the USA.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      We've been through about four padded covers in our hallway bathroom--covers tore, hinges came loose. This Magnolia seat is rugged and the hinges are solid. The tradeoff is that it is harder and colder than the padded seats, but this is not a bathroom where people will "linger".

        We had a beaded toilet seat that we liked, but it was not a very good one. He liked the look, but the plastic hinges were not very stylish and the paint bubbled and wore off.

        Our reasarch led us to the Magnolia and we took a chance. There were choices for hinges, so we could match the decor from the other peices in the room. The whole unit just has the feel of durability and looks great. We feel lucky to have found this product.
